Camp Lake Fire is a quiet and relaxing campground located high on the southern shores of beautiful Lake Maroon. They also provide corporate retreats and school camps which include activities such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, abseiling, rock climbing, archery, and a variety of team building and initiative activities. The bush retreat is located approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The site has recently undergone upgrades and improvements including the addition of an amenities block. True Water had designed and delivered a sustainable and cost-effective sewage treatment solution to service campers and staff alike.
With the campground located close to Maroon Dam, operational and performance compliance are key requirements for the STP. Varying flows throughout on and off-peak visitor seasons also requires a solution that effectively manages peak flows without impacting treatment quality. The 10m3 per day Kubota HC-Z sewage treatment system was chosen for its robust design, ease of install and its high-quality treatment process. This STP is a popular choice for the tourism industry, mining industry and large-scale industrial projects throughout the world.
The dispersal of the treated effluent also posed a challenge with the site located within bushland on a high peninsula. The management system was designed to limit disturbance to established trees and minimise impact to the surrounding environment. The installed STP is discreet and odour free and will service the campground for many years to come.
