New Zealand’s wastewater infrastructure has entered a period of significant renewal and regulatory changes. Much of existing treatment infrastructure was constructed between 30 and 40 years ago and is approaching the end of its design life. At the same time, regulatory expectations for environmental performance are increasing. The introduction of national wastewater treatment standards under the Loal Government (Water Services) legislative framework has established consistent wastewater discharge requirements across the country, improving environmental outcomes while enabling more standardised approaches to plant design, construction and operation.
On-Site Wastewater Management Systems (OWMS) go by a range of names in New Zealand, including septic tanks, onsite systems, Home Sewage Treatment Plants (HSTP) and On-Site System Effluent Treatment (OSET) and many more. The family-owned and operated company is based on Waiheke Island and will be working together with True Water to build a comprehensive network of trusted suppliers and installers of Kubota products across Aetearoa.
We will be at Fieldays in Hamilton in June to introduce a range of Kubota wastewater treatment prodcuts to the New Zealand market and answer any questions about this exciting technology.
