The Water Authority of Fiji is improving the quality of Fiji’s water infrastructure. In addition, they seek to climate proof and strengthen it’s operational performance. This is possible through support and funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Australia is well placed to supply the products and services needed to participate in new projects or assist in maintaining the existing infrastructure.

Unique solutions for the Pacific

According to ADB, six of the sixteen island states covered by the Pacific Islands Forum (the Cook Islands, Fiji, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau and Tuvalu) have over half of their population living in urban areas. It is important to note that much of the infrastructure in these areas is old and in need of replacement.

The Government of Fiji is working to increase access for its population to reliable and adequate supplies of safe water. Sanitary and environmentally safe sewage and wastewater treatment facilities are a key component in delivering this safe water.

True Water Pacific is proud to work with our colleagues in Fiji delivering fit for purpose solutions. From community systems to luxury resorts, there is a system to suit every need. Our consultants work with our clients to design wastewater treatment systems that best suit each unique location and its requirements. True Water ensure the best solution to perfectly match each project while also providing education and training for day to day operation of infrastructure.

Attending the mission provided an opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of Fiji’s growth and needs. This has been incredibly helpful in developing tailored solutions for Fiji.
