Capability

Design, construct and install Community WWTP

True Water recently installed a community wastewater treatment system for the Stratford Gardens Lifestyle Village in Tahmoor, New South Wales (NSW). Although the site is located close to the Sydney Water sewer main, it cannot connect to the municipal network because the Sydney Water sewage treatment plant is currently at capacity. Therefore, any housing or development on this site requires a site-specific community wastewater treatment system.

The Stratford Gardens Lifestyle Village, spanning 13.33 hectares, is a master-planned community that will include 220 homes. It will also feature a clubhouse, wellness centre, farmhouse, café, bowling green, and other recreational facilities. Specifically designed for residents aged 50 and over, the village is conveniently located near the town centre and within walking distance of the local shopping precinct.

The village will be constructed in five stages. True Water delivered the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) during the construction of Stages 1 and 2. As Stages 3, 4, and 5 are developed, the WWTP’s capacity will increase in step with the development. This scaling of the WWTP lowers early capital investment while allowing clients to manage their capital investment more effectively. Additionally, this approach ensures that the WWTP can adapt to future needs

Community wastewater treatment when municipal connection is unavailable

True Water specialises in delivering high-quality wastewater technologies that service small-to-medium sized communities. In partnership with Kubota, True Water has developed wastewater treatment models that provide reliable and cost-effective sewage treatment solutions for village and town sized communities.

Additionally, many villages and towns require substantial government grants and ongoing subsidies to fund new or upgraded sewage systems. As a result, True Water offers a comprehensive range of reliable, tested products to meet these needs. Each True Water treatment system is robust and scalable, providing reliable sewage treatment for generations to come.

True Water’s expertise in aligning treatment technologies with community needs eliminates uncertainty for project planners and engineers, offering peace of mind. Moreover, True Water systems effectively manage cost efficiencies, daily operations, and environmental risks. With a holistic approach, True Water covers every aspect of the project from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution.

Managing complexities and challenges of community projects

Located on the main street of Tahmoor, close to the town centre, the Stratford Gardens Lifestyle Village offers great potential for developers. However, the open access to gardens and green spaces posed complex challenges for onsite wastewater management.

True Water intervened after the original consultant failed to secure local government approval. Our team proposed innovative best practices from America and Japan, which are not yet common in Australia. Throughout the project, we maintained constant communication with the project team and collaborated closely to overcome all site challenges.

Several items supplied by other service providers, outside of True Water’s scope and beyond the WWTP’s battery limits, did not meet design specifications. In response, True Water stepped in to address these issues. Timely delivery was crucial, and the lightweight materials used for the pump station and storage vessel enabled easy installation, making them well-suited for the site conditions.

Advanced monitoring of treatment system ensures compliance

Implementing a robust asset management plan is crucial to ensure the consistent operation and maintenance of the community wastewater treatment system at Stratford Gardens Lifestyle Village. Moreover, our highly trained technicians play a key role in ensuring long-term compliance and low-cost operation, making asset management an integral part of their responsibilities.

True Water has also developed an affordable and quality remote-monitoring platform. Furthermore, our advanced telemetry software enables operators to make informed decisions regarding scheduled and proactive maintenance. This system is supported by an online portal that provides day-to-day asset management and monitoring. As a result, it offers accurate, immediate, real-time data.

Our Integrated Environmental Management System is used to guide all management activities throughout the infrastructure’s lifecycle. With this conclusive framework, operators and managers can confidently secure compliance and meet stakeholder objectives. Consequently, regulatory compliance is upheld, and public health and environmental protection are prioritised.

Maintainance of wastewater treatment infrastructure is simplified by gas tights lids for ease of access to the various chambers.
